Content Network NEWS (Feedback Required):

One of the questions I get asked the most is ‘Is it possible to submit pre-spun content to the network?’.  The answer was always ‘no’ as I didn’t want poorly spun content to be published within the network.  Up to now the content has always been published via Article Writer Pro v2.0 which means the content always reads well, resulting in a good indexing rate in Google.  However, this does mean that in order to submit to the network you must complete a project which can take anything from 1 - 2 hours.

I am now considering adding the ability to submit spun content (an article with spin syntax) to the network.  This will make it much more appealing to some and will also speed up the process of adding articles and backlinks to the network.  There will be a quality control process implemented though to prevent poorly spun content from getting through.  This quality control process will be operated by my company and not the site owners.  This will ensure fast approval and that only quality spun content gets through.  A system will be in place to ensure that the spun content also passes a uniqueness threshold… similar to what is already in place with the current system.

I am also going to integrate the content network with the backlinksindexer.com service so that ‘X’ amount of published articles get driven through the indexing service which should result in an even higher indexing rate… plus it should psuh some extra weight to members own backlinks.

I’m not going to go into the exact step by step process… but I am going to show the basic process to clearly illustrate what I have done, and what I used to do this.  For those of you who ALREADY have my applications Easy Article Rewriter Pro and Article Writer Pro v2.0… then I urge you to repeat this process for yourself.  It takes a little time but the results are good and solid!

Step 1:

I opened up my Easy Article Rewriter Pro software and used my LSI Code technique to quickly build my LSI keyword library based around the singlular keyword ‘SEO’.  I’m hoping to add an automated LSI library building feature into the next version so this step will literally be a case of typing in a keyword phrase and clicking a button.

I then wrote an article themed on SEO using the software.  I monitored my LSI library stats and article strength gauges as I typed.  The keyword library also gives you some great ideas and sub topics to include within your article.

You can see the LSI keywords highlighted in RED and the article strength gauge at the bottom showing ‘mostly’ green.  The more green.. the stronger the article.

Step 2:

I then submitted that newly written article to Ezinearticles.com.

Step 3:

I created a new project in Article Writer Pro v2.0.  I pasted in the same article, parsed it into individual paragraphs by clicking the ‘Parse ALL’ button (I did NOT include the original sentences) and then activated all the paragrpahs by clicking on the ‘Activate ALL’ button.

I then followed the guided rewriting process and added 3 new variations per sentence.

Step 4:

After adding all my variations (Remember.. you can outsource this task!), I then spun my title.

After about 2 weeks my article was appoved at Ezinearticles.  There was a delay due to me linking to one of my article creation applications which they do not allow so I had to change the link.  Shown below…

Step 5:

I then created three resource boxes and added them to my Article Writer Pro v2.0 project.  I added a link to my money site in ALL three boxes.  Then ALSO added a link to my Ezinearticle in TWO of the resource boxes.

I have included a linking diagram below showing you the linking structure that I wanted to achieve.  This will result in backlinks to BOTH my Ezinearticle and my money site… BUT ultimately passing more weight to my money site.

Step 6:

I then selected my category in Article Writer Pro v2.0 and clicked the ‘Distribute to Network’ button.

After that I let the system do it’s thing and drip feed articles throughout my content network… which resulted in backlinks pointing back to both my money site and my Ezinearticle.

As you can see above, the network submission is only 3/4 of the way through the process of drip feeding the articles…. and the project was ONLY submitted on the 2nd November.

The Results:

As it stands today… my Ezinearticle is ranking in 2nd place in Google for the keyword “SEO”  when searching ALL the indexed pages from Ezinearticles.com.  This is out of 744,000 competing pages.

The article was only submitted on 11th October 2011, published by Ezinearticles on 25th October and it already has a PR3 as shown below….

The page ranked in the No.1 spot is actually an article category! So.. being ranked No.2 is pretty neat.

Although the article was submitted on the 11th October, the article was only accepted and published on 25th October ‘11.  That was just over 2 weeks ago and the article views are starting to increase as shown below…

This will hopefully increase each day which could potentially bring in more traffic to my money site.

A number of weeks ago I started analzing my stats and logging traffic for specific keywords ranked at different positions over time and ended up with some solid statistics.

My findings show that you will get approximately 38% of the total search traffic if you are ranked at no.1.  So for example, if a keyword phrase gets 1,000 searches per month then if you are ranked solidly at no.1 you will get approx. 380 visitors to your site via that keyword.

What is interesting here though is that the no.2 spot only gets approx. 12.5% of the total search traffic.  This is about 3 times LESS than the no.1 spot!

What you need to bear in mind though is that these figures are approximations.  It could and WILL vary with each keyword.  One of the reasons for this will be down to the title tags and descriptions for the top 10 results.  If the web page that is ranked at no.2 has a more RELEVANT title and description than the site ranked at no.1 then that site MIGHT get some of the traffic that the no.1 spot would normally get.

Now imagine if you have a number of keywords ranked at no.2 and no.3.  Yes, that is a great achievement, especially if those keywords get a decent number of searches each month, BUT how much money are you potentially leaving on the table by not reaching the no.1 spot.  Probably lots!

The first thing you should do is find out WHICH keyword phrases you are already ranking for and more importantly, how many visitors those keyword phrases bring to your site each month.  Put together a list of ALL the keyword phrases that are bringing you a minimum of say 50 visitors each month, then pick out the ‘buying’ keywords or keywords that will likely result in an action.  This could be a sale, a new subscriber.  What ever call to action you have on your sales or squeeze page.

Then you need to take those keyword phrases and manually search in Google to see where your site or web page is ranked for each keyword phrase.  For example, You might find that you are getting 100 searches from a keyword where your site is ranked at no.4.  Imagine the increase in traffic you would receive if you could push that ranking up to no.1.  Another example might be a keyword that is bringing you 300 unique visitors to your site where you are ranked at no.2.  If instead, you were ranked at no.1 you would probably get around 900 visitors.  That is 600 more visitors per month that could potentially purchase from you or subscribe to your mailing list.

My point is.  Marketers often research and chase keyword phrases only to find that they are duds, or do not bring in the traffic that they thought they would.  Usually after investing lots of time on them.  If you have anaylitics (Google Analytics is FREE) installed you can SEE which keywords are already bringing in traffic so you KNOW those keywords are good.  All you need to do is give them a little nudge and drastically increase your traffic… and potentially… earnings!  Think outside the box… think smart!  Don’t go hunting for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow… when you have a treasure chest beneath your nose.

I just wanted to give you an update on some developments regarding Article Writer Pro v2.0.  Since my last blog post I have implemented a few of the features that I believe have improved the system.

Features and tweaks already implemented:

Bug: Some of you may have noticed that after parsing a paragraph the system added an additional ‘period’ at the end of the last sentence, and also didn’t include any ‘periods’ at the end of the other sentences.  This has now been fixed.

Parse ALL: The parse ALL feature has now been implemented which means you no longer have to parse your paragrpahs one at a time.  You simply choose whether to include the original sentences by selecting or de-selecting the checkbox and then you just click on the red ‘Parse ALL’ button to parse all your paragraphs in one go.

Add multiple variations in one action: This feature wasn’t mentioned in my previous blog post but all members can now add there 3 - 4 variations on one go (or however many they want) and then add them ALL with one click.  This saves you having to write one variation at a time, then clicking a button to add it and then repeating the process.  I myself have completed a couple of projects in record time after adding this feature so it is a huge time save.  After writing your first variations simply hit the TAB key to move to the next text area.

Create originals: This feature can be extremely useful.  Once you complete a project you can create original articles that do not have ANY duplicate sentences in them.  For example, if you complete a project using 4 variations,with one click you can create a whole article using ONLY variation 1, another using ONLY variation 2 and so on.  This is useful because you may choose to add one of these to your blog, Ezinearticles, Squidoo etc.  Wait for it to get indexed in Google and then spin and submit a bunch of articles via Article Writer Pro v2.0 to the content network.  You can even build links from the network and point them to the articles you have added to your blog or Ezinearticles etc which will help to boost their rankings.  Remember, these ‘Original’ articles are just that.. ORIGINAL and UNIQUE.  Completely! This leverages your projects tenfold and makes your time building them so much more worthwhile.  After completing a project just click on the blue  ’Create Originals’ button.

I have a number of ideas with regards to tweaks and new features for Article Writer Pro v2.0 and wanted to get your opinion on them.  Whether you think some are good additions, or pointless additions.  I’d also like to hear any ideas that you may have in which to make this system better.

Anyway, here are some of my current ideas.  Some are definates… and some I’m considering…

Parse ALL feature:

Instead of having to parse each paragraph individually, members will be able to parse them ALL in one go.  Similar to the ‘Activate ALL’ button.  You’ll simply be able to tick OR untick an ‘Include original sentences’ checkbox and then click the button to parse ALL the paragraphs in one go.

Create 3 - 4 100% unique articles with one click:

When you build a project you are basically rewriting EACH original sentence 3 - 4 times to create 3 - 4 brand new unique versions.  Instead of just using those variations to create mixed versions of your article, you’ll be able to click a button and collate 3 - 4 completely unique versions of your article.  The system will create an article using only varation 1 for each sentence.  Then a second article using variation 2 and so on.  You would then end up with 3 - 4 completely unique articles (depending on how many variations you have added).  You may choose to publish one on your own blog, another to Ezinearticles etc and so forth.  Once those articles have been crawled and indxexed by Google you could then proceed by distributing spun versions to the network.. or wherever.  This makes ’spending the time’ building your projects much more viable and WORTHWHILE as you are not only creating spun versions.. but ALSO ending up with a handful of completely ‘100%’ unique articles to use as you wish.  Kind of 4 birds with one stone!

Ability to change your submission category:

After submitting a project to the network you would have about 24 hours to change the category to a different category.

The ability to change the destination URL of your backlinks within the network:

Would adding a feature that would allow you to change your backlinks in the network be worthwhile?  This would be per project.

Built-in ranking report:

Every week or fortnight the system would check the ranking of your target website for EACH of the anchor texts you have within the system (network).  A report would automatically be emailed to you periodically informing you of your current ranking and any movement that ‘may’ have occurred since the last report.

Auto spin feature:

The ability to spin common elements within your articles.  Not to a high level but enough to create a higher level of uniqueness.

For those of you who have been rewriting your projects the last couple of days, you will have noticed that you now only have to click an orange ‘NEXT PARAGRAPH >>’ link after rewriting a paragrpah in order to jump to the next one.  This makes the rewriting process even more streamlined.

I do have many more ideas for Article Writer Pro v2.0 but just wanted to share a few with you in order to get your feedback and also to hear any ideas that you may have.

As many of you will know, I haven’t posted on my blog in a long time so I decided to pick one of my existing blog posts that I made last year and then find out where I ranked with that post for a specific keyword.  The keyword I chose was strong backlinks.  I found that I ranked at no.7 for that keyword phrase (without quotes).

I then copied part of my blog post and pasted it into Article Writer Pro v2.0.  I parsed the content and rewritten it, by adding 3 new variations for each sentence.  I didn’t inluce the original sentnences so I ended up with the equivalent of 3 new versions of my blog post.  This took me about 40 minutes to do.

I then used the built in title spinner to spin the existing title.  This took me about 2 minutes.  Finally, I added 3 resource boxes, with each box only containing ONE backlink that pointed back to my blog post.  I used a different variation of the anchor text for each of the 3 resource boxes.  These were ’strong backlinks’, ‘create strong backlinks’ and ‘build strong backlinks’.  Notice that the words ’strong backlinks’ are present in ALL three anchor text links.

I then chose a category from the drop down list which was ‘Internet Marketing’ and clicked on the ‘Distribute to Network’ button.  That’s it.  Over the next 4 days the system drip fed these articles throughout the network resulting in 38 versions on my blog post being published on 38 different sites within the network on different IP address.. all containing one backlink pointing back to my original blog post.

The original blog post was posted ‘ironically’ a year ago yesterday and has been placed solidly in the search results since.  The only backlinks being built to this post… certainly this year have been purely from this one project.  Jumping four places might not seem much to some but it shows that this system works (and in such a short time).  Members who subscribe to the network can submit as many projects as they like.  They can rinse and repeat over and over again, and build links to any site, article, video or web page of their choice (Except for inappopriate content or of an adult nature).

What makes this network different from the rest is the fact that the articles are only spun on a sentence level.  After testing this theory for over a year, I have seen great results by applying this concept.  Every article makes sense and uses an ideal ’structure’ rather than using ’synonyms’ that frankly, wouldn’t REALLY be used by someone writing an article from scratch.  On top of this we don’t over saturate the network with TOO many articles generated by one project.  Why dilute the strength of your backlinks?!

Another strong point with this network is the fact that we are continuously building links to ALL the sites within the network.  I have a system in place that makes this possible.  I believe that a steady but constant stream adds ‘weight’ to these sites and creates a sense of ‘activeness’.  Not only with new content but also with backlinks.  Very important in my eyes.  Too many networks have thousands of blogs that are frankly, set and forget.  They don’t have anyone building fresh links to them and they are being populated with spun content that don’t usually read too well.

There are other unique benefits to the network but I can’t give these away.  At the end of the day, it works.

I have noticed a slight issue with the publishing rate.  I think that on some days the system is publishing twice, hence the reason why it has only taken 5 days to publish the 38 articles, rather than approx. 8 - 10 days.  This will be fixed today!

The first task was to write an article using the ‘Good Domain Names’ LSI library that I built last week (see last blog post).  This library consisted of 99 relevant words.

Once I selected the LSI library for this keyword phrase I started writing an article ensuring that the article strength indicators remained at a high level throughout.  I also used the LSI library as a reference to help me identify core keywords which also helps with the writing process.  It gives you ideas of what to write about!

After writing the article I published it on Goarticles.  I used Goarticles instead of Ezinearticles purely because Goarticles submission is instant.  As soon as I added the article is became live within the directory and on the web.

My next job was to get it indexed in Google.  For this I use a fairly basic process.  The first thing I did was link to the article from a forum signature.  Busy forums are crawled constantly by the search engines as topics are forever changing and being added.  After adding the link I constributed to the forum by replying to a couple of new threads.. and also a busy thread.

I then added my article URL to a couple of ‘top’ bookmarking sites.  Although it took longer than usual to get indexed, it was picked up and added to Googles index within 2 - 3 days.  (Normally this method gets articles indexed within 24hours).

I took a screenshot of the top ranked sites in Google from ‘Goarticles’ for the phrase good domain names BEFORE I wrote and submitted the article.  This first screenshot is below…

As you can see below, my article went into the index at no.3 out of 727 articles.

The article is also ranked at no.1 for the same phrase surrounded in quotes (phrase match).

If you write articles with a strong relevance to the ‘keyword phrase’ you are targeting then you have a very high chance of ranking your article ABOVE the other articles that also compete for that phrase.  Higher rankings => more traffic => more powerful backlinks!

Heres is an example.  Imagine you want to write an article about ‘viral marketing’ and the keyword phrase you are wanting to rank that article for is ‘viral marketing techniques’.  What you would do is write the article so that it is highly focused on ‘viral marketing techniques’ and then include an anchor text link using the phrase ‘viral marketing techniques’.  This means that when Google (and the other search engines) have crawled and indexed your article it will pass some level of link juice to your website.  Now if Google ranks that article at no. 850 in its search results for your keyword phrase ‘viral marketing techniques’, how powerful do you think that backlink will be? Chances are, not very!  BUT… if Google ranks your article on the first page, out of hundreds or even thousands of related articles, that backlink will be worth MORE.

Putting other ranking factors aside for one minute, Google ranks articles based on relevance.  Google regards the number one ranked article as being  more relevant than ALL the other articles beneath it, and certainly much more relevant than the one that ranks at 850 or lower!  Therefore your backlink will have much more power if your article ranks near the top for your keyword phrase.  Especially if you use the same keyword phrase in your anchor text, or a close variation of it.  Relevant content equals relevant backlink!  In my opinion, 10 backlinks from 1o powerful articles will provide more power and benefit than 100 backlinks from 100 ‘weaker’ and less relevant articles.

The screenshot below shows three of my articles ranking above ALL other articles for the keyword phrase “Keyword rich domain names” using Ezinearticles only.  This search is with quotes because I built my LSI library around that keyword phrase using quotes.  If I wanted to include backlinks in those three articles with the anchor the ‘keyword rich domain names’, they would have more power than they would if they were ranked much lower.

If you have already downloaded the software and are taking advantage of the FREE 7 day trial then you MAY have read my report, ‘The LSI Code’ which was included in your download. This is a 22 page document that shows you how to build ANY LSI keyword library based around ANY seed keyword phrase.  In fact, the report takes you through the process of getting Google to TELL you what these words are, step by step.  It’s all explained in my free report so I won’t go into details of that here.

Once you have built your LSI library you can simply paste any article into the ‘New Project’ window to instantly analyze the strength of the article for your keyword phrase.  For the example below I have used ‘good domain names’ as my keyword.  This particular LSI library consists of 99 words.  These are ALL words that Google regards as being relevant to this keyword phrase, so content built around these words in a particular way will rank naturally in Googles index.

I have performed a Google search for good domain names without quotes and only retrieved pages from the website Ezinearticles.  According to Google, the top article is most relevant to this keyword phrase, and then the 2nd article and so forth.  You know how it goes.  I have taken the first article and pasted it into Easy Article Rewriter Pro to identify it’s LSI strength.

The following article was ranked No.1 in Google (Ezinearticles only):

Overall LSI Density: 26.1%

You can see by the built in article strength gauges that the top ranking article doesn’t actually include the phrase ‘good domain names’ within the article content and that the overall strength of the article is a little over 50%.  This means that there is plenty of scope to improve on that and rank above it taking the top spot.

I now want to illustrate to you how the software uses the LSI library to accurately show you the strength of an article.  I have taken a number of screenshots showing some of the other ranked articles for that keyword phrase so that you can see how the article strength gauges reduce as the ranking position decreases.  Take a note of the green strength bars at the bottom of the screenshots AND also the ‘LSI Density’ figure which is at the top of the screenshots.  This is the overal percentage of the article that is made up of LSI words.

Ranked No.3  Overall LSI Density: 18.1%

Ranked No.7  Overall LSI Density: 16.8%

As you can see by the screenshots above… as the rank gets lower and lower, so does the article strength and the OVERALL LSI DENSITY.  By applying my method illustrated in ’The LSI Code’, you can use the instant article strength gauges and statistics in the software AND also the visual ‘placement and density’ functionality to completely trounce your competitors and get ALL of your articles ranked near the top of the search engines.  This should result in more traffic and hopefully more sales!

When you use the software to write articles from scratch, you want to aim to get as much GREEN in those bars as possible!  The LSI keyword stats will also update with every word you type.  This library will also give you ideas of what you need to include in your article.  When you select ALL the words in the LSI library they will show up red within the article itself.  This gives you a REALLY good visual indication of the density and placement of your LSI keywords. For example, you will see that the red words in the No.1 ranked article has a higher density than the others…. and that is one of the reasons why it is currently ranked above the others.  It is really a pretty neat application when you use it properly!
